Alger Ranch, Stanford MT
Jess Alger runs a Certified Organic ranch in Stanford, Montana. He supplies the Market with grass-fed, organic meats. In the freezer section you can find the following selection from Alger Ranch Meats: ground beef, rib steak, tenderloin, t-bone, top sirloin, round steak, cube steak, london broil, short ribs, and a good selection of roasts.
Big Sandy Melons, Montana
Montana melons become available late August each year and the ones from Ron at Big Sandy are sweet and juicy. They deliver to the Market musk melon and honey-loupe and assorted vegetables.
Montana Ranch Brand, Grass Range Montana
The Montana Ranch Brand Company is distributed countrywide out of their head office in Billings, MT. Their products are minimally processed with no artificial ingredients, growth hormones or steroids. Animals must be humanely raised and producers must meet rigid testing standards for feed and water quality. The Big Spring Market is the only outlet to purchase their product in Lewistown. Currently we carry 100% beef hot dogs, meatballs, and hand packed hamburgers.
Granny's Greens, Lewistown MT
Donna Ferdinand of Lewistown delivers to the Market weekly delicious greens from her garden. They are bagged bibb lettuce and a medley of greens for salad. She also provides an assortment of onions.
Limekiln Green, Lewistown MT
Susan Lohmuller lives in the foothills of the Judith Mountains, near Lewistown, Montana. Limekiln green is CERTIFIED ORGANIC. Susan delivers into the Market several times a week bringing a variety of produce: herbs, lettuce, greens, potatoes, carrots, leeks, beans, zucchini, squash, beets and more. She also in very interested in educating our membership on the benefits of eating organic by hosting demonstrations of organic product in the Market. Susan can also be found Saturday morning at the Farmer's Market.
Merle, Lewistown MT
Merle lives South of Lewistown and his specialty is peppers. He delivers to the Market as needed volcano peppers and bell peppers. The salsa made from these peppers is outstanding!
Negaard Farms, Grassrange MT
Rachael Negaard lives near Grass Range, Montana where she and her family operate the Greenhouse. She or her daughter delivers into the Market every Tuesday like clockwork. They bring grape tomatoes, large tomatoes, spinach, basil, lettuce, beans (of all colors!) peas, English cucumbers, carrots, and potatoes (of all colors!). They also deliver to the Good Earth Market inBillings and Farms can also be found Saturday monrings at the Lewistown Farmer's Market.
Nick and Marti Schultz, Gran Prairie Ranch, Grass Range Montana
The Schultz's are 3rd generation ranchers who just helped their family ranch celebrate its one hundredth year of operation. Their animals are grass-fed with a protein supplement during the winter months. The Market currently carries their ground beef in 1 and 2 pound packages and in the future we will carry their all natural steaks.
Springwater Colony, Harlowton MT
The Springwater Colony is located a few miles outside of Harlotown. Ester and Abraham collect our orders each week for delivery on Fridays. They offer head lettuce, cabbage, radishes, onions, tomatoes, zucchini and corn. The Market also carries whole chickens in the Meat Department from Springwater.
Twin Hills Colony, Fort Benton MT
The Twin Hills Hutterite Colony located close to Fort Benton delivers fresh, produce into the Market at the end of each week. Joe and Joe Jr. deliver sweet corn, bread and butter cucumbers, slicing cucumbers, green beans, broccoli, potatoes, and bagged carrots.
